The Biological Sciences Program is ideal for students aiming for health-related professions, an interdisciplinary focus in ecology, or secondary-school biology education. The Biological Sciences Program curriculum is built across Microbiology, Physiology, Plant Biology, and Zoology. Because of this, we offer many popular courses for pre-health students including microbiology, genetics, and vertebrate biology. For students broadly interested in ecology, we offer an impressive range of courses that take advantage of the natural surroundings of southern Illinois, teach practical skills, and offer hands-on experiences. Our biology education specialization benefits from offerings across the entire School of Biological Sciences, allowing students to build a personalized and impactful curriculum.

Bachelor's Program
