Tony Calabrese, Lecturer
Kinesiology, Sport Administration
Tony Calabrese has been associated with SIU since 1960 as a student, athlete, and graduate assistant. He attended SIU from 1960-1966 where he received his BS in Physical Education, and was a member of the SIU Men’s Gymnastics Team that won an NCAA National Championship, and compiled a record of 67 wins and no losses.

Zhijing Chen, Assistant Professor
Sports Administration, Human Sciences
Dr. Zhijing Chen is an Assistant Professor of Sport Administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Sun Yat-Sen University and a Ph.D. Degree in sport management at the University of Michigan. The overall focus of her research is sport marketing, with linkages to sport consumer behavior, communication, and decision making in particular. The aim of her research is to advance psychological and behavioral theories in sport marketing, enhance our understanding of how sport consumers behave under the influence of marketing tactics and in today’s dynamic sport business environment, and provide insights and practical implications for athletes, sport organizations, and other relevant entities. Some of her current research areas include athlete activism and sport betting in the United States.

Bobbi Knapp, Associate Professor
Sport Administration, Human Sciences
Dr. Knapp is an tenured Associate Professor of Sport Studies and current Program Director for the KIN 210 Diversity in Sport course. Her primary focus of training and study is in the sub disciplinary area of sport sociology. She also serves as Co-Director of the Socio-Psychology Laboratory, and serves as the faculty advisor for the Sport Studies Association (SSA).

Meungguk Park, Professor
Sport Administration, Human Sciences
Dr. Meungguk Park is a Professor of Sport Administration. Dr. Park’s research focuses on non-profit sport organizations and/or sporting events whose primary purpose is to produce goods and services for the welfare of people with disabilities, cancer patients, and older adults with dementia.

Julie Partridge, Professor and Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR)
Exercise Science, Sport Administration, Human Sciences
Dr. Partridge is an Professor of Human Sciences and Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for the university. Her primary focus of training and study is in the sub disciplinary area of sport and exercise psychology. She also serves as Director of the Social Psychology of Sport Laboratory.

Taeho Yoh, Professor and Director of Sport Administration
Taeho Yoh holds two Ph.Ds, one in Marketing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and another in Sport Management from Florida State University. He is cross-appointed in the College of Health and Human Sciences the College of Business and Analytics. His research primarily focuses on the following areas: Corporate Social Responsibility, Sport Marketing and Social Impact of Sport Organizations, and Marketing and Promotions for Non-profit Sectors.
