Daniel Bronke , Assistant Professor of Practice
Criminology and Criminal Justice
Mr. Bronke began teaching at SIU in January 2023. He received his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006 and served years as a prosecutor, elected State’s Attorney, and currently also works as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Illinois.

Sujung Cho, Associate Professor
Criminology and Criminal Justice
Dr. Cho joined the SIU faculty in the Fall of 2017, after serving as an assistant professor at Delta State University (2015-2017) and working as a police officer in South Korea (2000-2008). She completed her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati in 2015.

Matthew Giblin, Professor and Director, School of Justice and Public Safety
Criminology and Criminal Justice
Dr. Giblin joined the SIU faculty in the Fall of 2005, after serving as an assistant professor at York College of Pennsylvania and as a research associate at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Dr. Giblin completed his Ph.D. In Criminal Justice from Indiana University and currently serves as the Director of School of Justice and Public Safety.

Julie Hibdon, Associate Professor

Dr. Hibdon joined the SIU faculty in the Fall of 2012 after serving as a Research Associate in the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at George Mason University. She completed her Ph.D. in Criminology, Law, and Society at George Mason University in 2011.

Tammy Rinehart Kochel, Professor

Dr. Kochel joined the SIU faculty in the Fall of 2009 after receiving her Ph.D. in Justice, Law and Crime Policy from George Mason University. Dr. Kochel currently serves as Associate Dean for Research and Personnel for the College of Health and Human Sciences at SIU.

Dr. Mullins joined the faculty of SIU in Fall 2008 after serving as an assistant professor at the University of Northern Iowa. Raymund Narag, Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director
Criminology and Criminal Justice
