Michael Carney

Michael Carney, Assistant Lecturer, AIA, NCARB, ALA

Architecture

Michael has been working in the Architectural Profession for over 21 years establishing Studio Carney Architecture, Inc. in 2014

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his graduate degree from Southern Illinois University. He is passionate about the profession and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Association of Licensed Architects, recognized as a Broadly Experienced Architect by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is also a LEED Green Associate.

His experience in the field includes managing projects of over 500,000 square feet and projects with budgets in excess of $80,000,000. These projects include the restoration and reuse of existing warehouse facility for a County Government Agency, multi-story climate-controlled storage facilities, office space for the Federal Government as well as private clients, public library renovations, higher education, handicap accessible renovations for elementary education facilities, multi-story rental/for sale residential buildings, single family developments, commercial retail and food service developments. Michael is currently licensed to practice in the following States: Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
