David Williams

David Williams, Senior Lecturer

David T Williams joined the department full time in 2002 after completing a MS in Manufacturing Systems at SIU. He presently is completing a doctorate in education.

He worked in industry as a senior RF engineering technician and as a production manager for a manufacturer of telemetry equipment. His research interests include transmission lines, antennas, and radio communications. He is sole proprietor of his engineering and consulting business.

He is an Extra Class amateur operator and serves as the faculty advisor for the SIU amateur radio club. He is a member of IEEE, ASEE, ASQ, AERA, and ACTE. He is on the national policy committee for ACTE and chairs the division 3 membership committee. He is a member of Tau Alpha Pi and was inducted into Epsilon Pi Tau in December of 2008. He is a National Certified Registry EMT-B.
