Zachary A. Meyer, Clinical Assistant Professor

Paralegal Studies

Zachary A. Meyer, J.D. grew up in Du Quoin, IL. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies with cum laude honors with a concentration in Pre-Law from SIU Carbondale. Professor Meyer attended SIU School of Law and served as the President of the Law and Medicine Society as well as the Vice President of Parents Attending Law School. Professor Meyer researched and wrote his thesis paper on Illinois Immunity laws, and Childhood Cancer Funding. He has been named by Super Lawyers as a 2024 Rising Star, and top 40 under 40 Illinois Civil Plaintiff attorney by the National Trial Lawyers.

Dan Bronke, Assistant Professor of Practice

Paralegal Studies

As an attorney, Professor Bronke has represented clients in civil court, in criminal court as a defense attorney, prosecuted those same sorts of clients, and now conducts and oversees administrative hearings all across the State of Illinois.

Kenneth Hughes, Senior Lecturer

Kenneth Hughes is a practicing attorney in Southern Illinois and has taught in the Paralegal Studies program since 1982.

Daniel Silver, Clinical Associate Professor

Paralegal Studies

Daniel A. Silver teaches a wide variety of courses in the Paralegal Studies program. Mr. Silver has been practicing law, primarily in the area of bankruptcy and creditors' rights, since 1993. He has been teaching in the Paralegal Studies program at SIU Carbondale since 2002.
