Margaret Kress, Clinical Assistant Professor

Margaret earned her DNP from Maryville University in St Louis in 2022. She earned her FNP and BSN from Northern Illinois University. She has over 30 years of experience in nursing that include neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care, and transport medicine where she worked as a flight nurse for 15 years.
For the last eight years Margaret has worked as an APN. Her experience includes kidney transplant, primary care, hospice, skilled nursing care, and vascular surgery and endovascular services. In Margaret’s many years of experience, she has been engaged in Quality Assurance and has won many awards for her accomplishments in improving care. Margaret has a passion for research and has publications in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Journal. Margaret is an active member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association.
