Application Process
To be considered for entry into the BSN program, interested individuals must first be accepted into SIUC as an undergraduate student. New SIUC students should indicate "Nursing" as their major choice on their SIUC application. This will put your application to the program in the applicant pool for consideration.
Currently enrolled SIU students should complete the Application for Current Students via the link below.
Once accepted, work with academic advisement to ensure completion of the prerequisite courses.
Additionally, the BSN program uses a competitive admission process by ranking students on their performance of the HESI Admission Assessment. This assessment can be taken on campus in the Testing Center or off-site at one of many approved prometric sites.
Nursing Program selections begin December 1. Applicants are notified starting the second week of January.
