Communication Disorders & Sciences
The world can be lonely and frustrating without the ability to communicate. A profession where acquired skills and practice enable you to aid those with an inability to communicate can be astoundingly gratifying. A career in speech-language pathology or audiology can literally make you the difference in someone’s ability to communicate.
Our accredited Communication Disorders and Sciences (CDS) program provides the knowledge and training needed to become a speech-language pathologist, an audiologist, and work in related fields, such as psychology or technology/materials development. Think about times you’ve had laryngitis or a sore throat and speaking was painful or impossible - imagine a lifetime of hoarseness, stuttering, or misunderstandings. With a CDS degree, you can provide the diagnostics, care, and therapy to help people overcome or lessen their communication challenges.
Bachelor's Program
A Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences provides a solid foundation upon which to enter the field assisting a speech-language pathologist or other related entry-level positions. Many students continue on to earn a master’s degree in CDS and then test to become certified as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist.
Master's Program
A Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences prepares students to become nationally certified speech-language pathologists or audiologists. These rewarding professions aid those of all ages with communication disorders resulting from injuries and/or physical or mental challenges.
Accreditation
