Min Carter
Min Carter, Professor of Management
Dr. Min Z. Carter is a Full Professor of Management at College of Business, Southern Illinois University. She received her Ph.D. in Management from Auburn University. Prior to joining SIU, she completed a two-year post-doctoral program at Auburn University and served on faculty at Troy University. She also received her MBA from Troy University and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
Dr. Carter’s research has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Management Studies, among others. She has served on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management. She has also served as an Associate Editor for Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies as well as an ad-hoc reviewer for top-tier journals such as Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Studies, and The Leadership Quarterly.
Dr. Carter teaches Organizational Behavior for undergraduate students, as well as Advances in Organizational Behavior and Advanced Research Methods II for doctorial students while continuing her award-winning research.
Dr. Carter said she was attracted to SIU because of the collegial culture and the people who build such a fine institution. Her hope is that she would be remembered by students for encouraging each of them to reach their fullest potential.
