Flight Fees

Below are the estimated flight course fees beginning Summer 2026. These flight fees are in addition to regular university tuition and fees and are subject to change without prior notice. Please contact the School of Aviation for updated fees information at 618-453-8898.

A flight fee covers the cost of completing a flight course in the minimum FAA-approved time. Repeating lessons or otherwise going over the minimum time results in an overage fee, which is based on the hourly rate of the aircraft and instructor. Flight fees are charged to the student's Bursar account the semester of enrollment. Overage fees of $1,000 - $3,000 are common in the Private Pilot courses. Students may track their course progress, billing, and more through dedicated software, TALON.
