Audrey Holmes

Audrey Holmes, Assistant Professor of Practice

I am an Assistant Professor of Practice in English at Southern Illinois University. I received an English degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, as well as a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University. I also work as an executive television producer for WPSD News, and I am a newspaper editor.

I am an executive television producer at WPSD Local 6 News in Paducah, Kentucky. I am also the editor of several newspapers across Western Kentucky, including The Mayfield Messenger, The Princeton Times Leader, The Eddyville Herald Ledger, and the Marshall County Tribune-Courier. I studied English at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. While in college, I lived in New York City my junior year and worked as a digital research intern for NBC Nightly News. While working at NBC Nightly News, I published an article about the 2018 Iowa Caucus. I received my Masters of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where I was awarded the Master's Thesis Fellowship.
