Dustin M. Hoffman writes fiction about working people. He’s the author of three short story collections: One-Hundred-Knuckled Fist, No Good for Digging, and Such a Good Man. He has published more than one hundred stories in journals including Alaska Quarterly Review, Ninth Letter, Witness, The Threepenny Review, Gulf Coast, and One Story. Before getting his MFA in fiction from Bowling Green State University and his PhD in creative writing from Western Michigan University, he spent ten years painting houses in Michigan. He is honored to teach with the creative writing faculty at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Before getting his MFA in fiction from Bowling Green State University and his PhD in creative writing from Western Michigan University, he spent ten years painting houses in Michigan. He is currently working on another story collection and multiple novels. He is honored to teach with the creative writing faculty at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
