What makes us unique?

The School of Journalism is a lab-based learning environment where students immediately have opportunities to experience hands-on professional-level training. From student organizations to class projects, you can find a way to use the theories and techniques that you're learning in the classroom to start building an impressive resume and portfolio.

We aim to train the storytellers of tomorrow on the foundations that they can build on in order to adapt to changing technology and social issues

Bachelor's Program

Our journalism program allows students to work alongside award-winning faculty members who bring real-world experience to the classroom. Students gain hands-on experience through involvement in our live, student-produced newscast, and TV news magazine. Tailor your degree to your interests by choosing one of our program specializations.

Minors

The skills learned in our program translate to every other discipline. The ability to communicate clearly is a valued asset in the professional world, no matter the focus. Journalism minors can emphasize any of our specializations, including Advertising, News Editorial, Photojournalism, Sports Media, or Journalism and Mass Communication.
