- AgBassadors
The Agbassadors represent the College of Agricultural Sciences as a student recruitment organization comprised of 12 outstanding students selected by faculty, administrators, and students. The Agbassador team provides information about new opportunities in agriculture and related occupations to those interested in technology, science, business, education and many other fields. Prospected members are interviewed and selected each spring semester from a pool of qualified applicants based upon their achievements, academics, communication skills, and knowledge of agriculture and SIUC.
- Fire Dawgs
The Saluki Fire Dawgs conduct ecological research and maintain wildlands across federal, state, and private ownerships. They participate in prescribed burns and other forest management and maintenance activities throughout each semester.
- Forestry Club
Forestry Club promotes forestry as a profession and camaraderie among students interested in outdoor experiences, natural resource careers, volunteer opportunities, and timber sports.
- Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS)
MANRRS provides professional, academic, and networking opportunities for students. Members participate in community service activities, and attend several annual events, including the National MANRRS Conference.
- National Wild Turkey Federation
NWTF is a private, non-profit conservation and education organization dedicated to conserving wild turkeys and preserving our hunting heritage. NWTF helps acquire and improve habitats, and teaches outdoor skills.
- Saluki Bassers
The Saluki Basser's represent SIUC in the growing sport of competitive bass fishing. Our club travels all around the country to tournaments and members are welcome regardless of experience level!
- Saluki Environmental Educators
The Saluki Environmental Educators support environmental education and interpretation throughout the Southern Illinois region and beyond.
- Shooting Team
Anyone within the SIUC community who are new to shooting as well as experienced shooters are welcome to come to practice the safety and fundamentals of shooting. The Shooting Team’s focus is to provide a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable recreational and competitive experience for college students who are interested in shooting sports.
- Society of American Foresters
As the collegiate branch of the professional organization, the Society of American Foresters chapter at SIU provides opportunities for members to interact with professionals at state, regional and national meetings. Helping to match students' abilities with employment is a major club objective.
- Quality Deer Management Association
We believe it is our responsibility to ensure the future of wild deer, wildlife habitat and hunting. As the authority on all things deer, we blend the art of hunting with the science of management to create better deer and better deer hunting.
- Wildlife Society
The Wildlife Society's mission is to represent and serve the professional community of scientists, managers, educators, technicians, planners and others who worked actively to study, manage and conserve wildlife and habitats worldwide.
- Xi Sigma Pi
The Society brings professional speakers to SIUC, supports a variety of forestry field trips, and provides annual scholarships. A student must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.85, and a 3.0 in professional forestry courses to be eligible for membership. Members are active socially, professionally, and academically.
