Bruce DeRuntz, Leadership Development Program Director, Professor
Dr. Bruce DeRuntz, is a Professor in the School of Applied Engineering and Technology. Dr. DeRuntz received his BS in Industrial Technology from Eastern Illinois University, his MS in Manufacturing Systems, and his Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development from SIUC. He joined the school in 1998 after a successful career as a quality professional in industry, working for A.O. Smith Automotive Products, Emerson Electric Corporation, and the Manufacturing Extension Program.

John Legier, Associate Professor
John Legier received a BS Specialization in Adult Training and Development from Southern Illinois University (SIU) in 1999, followed by a MS Ed. in 2002, also from SIU. He completed his PhD work in August 2007 and was awarded his PhD in Education with a focus in Workforce Education and Development in December 2007. In August 2008, he joined the College of Applied Sciences and Arts (CASA) at SIU and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014. In July 2019, The TRM Program was moved to the new College of Engineering, Computing, Technology, and Mathematics where John presently serves as the TRM Program Coordinator and a Faculty member in the School of Applied Engineering and Technology.

Ron Parks, Instructor
Mr. Ron Parks joined Southern Illinois University in 1996 as an instructor in Industrial Management Applied Engineering. He currently teaches IMAE 110, IMAE 340, IMAE 375, IMAE 376, IMAE 392, IMAE 445, IMAE 465, and IMAE 476. Mr. Parks currently holds a senior level certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing through ASME.Received a BS in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University (SIUC) in 1989, followed by a MS in Workforce Education in 1995. Completed approximately 30 credit hours beyond the master’s degree.
