Some degrees are a fast track to employment. This is one of them.

Some degrees are a fast track to employment, but Southern Illinois has created a program that leads to fulfilling careers in one of the nation’s fastest-growing fields.

Our Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) program blends engineering design theory with lab experiences and problem-solving experience. You’ll have what it takes to find an exciting and challenging career in many fields of electrical and electronics design, maintenance, testing and production.

Bachelor's Degree

Earning a bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering Technology not only opens doors to next-level careers but allows graduates to make the technological advances of the future come to life. With a unique blend of mathematical and scientific theory, practical lab experiences, and skilled teaching faculty, students develop designs, construct them, and revise them until a working prototype is completed.

This program is where the new ideas for electrical/electronic devices are born. We can give you the knowledge and skills to make it real if you can conceive it.

Online/Capstone Option

Earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in various manufacturing-related areas, and our Capstone option reduces the number of Core Curriculum credit hours you need. That means you’ll graduate faster and with more focus on career classes.

Accreditation

Our Electrical Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
