School of Journalism and Advertising

Lyn has 30 years of experience in the publishing business. A 1985 Honors grad from SIU’s School of Journalism, she began her career in Atlanta working in Account Service for Tucker Wayne/Luckie Advertising and in advertising at Georgia Trend magazine.

After moving to Florida, her career continued at the largest daily newspaper in Florida, The St. Petersburg Times where she managed 7 bureau offices in three different Florida counties. Continuing her career by working for the New York Times Regional Publishing group in Gainesville as Retail Advertising Director and finally at the Florida Times Union, a Morris family owned paper, where she was Director of Sales.

Lyn is an experienced Sales Director with a demonstrated history of working in newspaper, magazine, specialty publications and event business. She is skilled in Print Media Sales, Digital Strategy, Mobile Advertising, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Integrated Marketing.
