Scholarships
Our College supports our students' through every step of their educational pursuit. Therefore, we never want financial resources to get in the way of earning their degree. The College of Business and Analytics has many need and merit based scholarships available exclusively to business students.
Students may apply to all of the University and the College scholarships available to them by completing one online application at siu.academicworks.com. Students should use their SIU Dawgtag and network password to “Sign In” and complete the application and additional questions.
Applications for the Fall 2022 – Spring 2023 academic year will open on October 1, 2021. Selections will be made in mid-March. The Financial Aid Office will notify students of any selections for Fall 2022 - Spring 2023 via student offer letters by email, in mid-March 2022.

Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Organization of Carbondale Scholarship
Award varies
Sophomore or junior student with a least a 2.5 GPA. Declared major in Workforce Education or Accounting, enrolled for at least 6 hours. Preference is given to: female, non-traditional students; Illinois residents including those studying at off-campus sites, located in Illinois; financial need; those with a GPA of 2.5 to 3.5.
College of Business Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Scholarship
Generally $450
Business major; overall GPA 3.0, senior or graduate standing; must submit an essay; preference for students who enroll prior to the CFA early registration fee deadline.
James B. & Rosemary Samuel Childress Scholarship
Generally $2,000
Graduates of a H.S. in Jackson or Williamson counties in Illinois. Community college students are eligible as long as the high school and community college are both located in Jackson and/or Williamson counties. Financial need. Preference for those who are working to pay for college expenses.
Frederick and Ellen Chiu Scholarship
Generally $1,000
An admitted business undergraduate or graduate international student, preference for a student of Chinese descent.

Lee Ann & Paul L. Conti MBA/JD Scholarship Award
Award varies
MBA/JD concurrently enrolled student with at least 1 semester completed. Financial need is preferencial. Extra-curricular involvement required.
Covington Entrepreneurial Awards
Award varies
Must be from southern Illinois (south of I-70); Must work; have some business experience; career goals that involve owning a business; Undergraduate marketing major; Preference for members of Pi Sigma Epsilon or the American Marketing Association. Essay required: entrepreneurial, aspirations for owning or running a business, and how the money will be used.

Ronald E. Hall/CITGO Scholarship

Business majors. GPA of 2.5 or above at the undergraduate level or 3.0 or above at the graduate level. Students selected will show financial need, academic achievement, and an interest in business. (Essay)
Hannah Finance Scholarship

Business majors. Preference for Illinois or Missouri residents and those with financial need. Renewable with application.

Clara J. Kridle Memorial Scholarship

Full-time student enrolled in the College of Business. Must be an incoming junior or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. Recipient must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is a permanent resident of Illinois and has a history of community service involvement or demonstrates through some type of social initiative that they recognize their responsibility in giving back to their community. Scholarship may not be awarded to a family member of Clara J. Kridle.

Sophomore Business Major. Native from: Perry, Franklin, Saline, Gallatin, Jackson, Williamson, Union, Johnson, Polk, Hardin, Alexander, Pulaski, or Massac counties in Illinois. Preference for veterans or the child of a veteran. Financial need and working while in school.

Tedrick Student Investment Fund Scholarship

Member of the Saluki Student Investment Fund in the academic year of the scholarship is awarded. Exemplary student who will be a remodel and spokesperson for SSIF. Preference for a minority student.
Theta Xi Beta Delta Scholarship

Juniors and Seniors. Preference for a senior; Business majors. The recipient must be an active member of the Beta Delta Chapter of the Theta Xi Fraternity at SIU.

Randall "Randy" Hahn Accounting Scholarship

Memorial Scholarship Senior Marketing majors. Preference for Japanese student(s). The recipient must send a letter describing their background, career goals, and a photograph to the donor(s). Awarded during senior year, and may be applied for during junior year.
Avent College of Business Scholarship

Full-time Marketing major with junior or senior standing (56 hours must have been completed at SIU), overall GPA of 2.5, held RSO leadership role, financial need per FAFSA, US citizen. Preference for African American students who have shown academic progress (e.g. after suspension or probation/STARS program). Awardee must furnish a recent picture and a one page description of how s/he will create jobs in the future. Picture and essay would be shared.
